Recently one of our Senior OLE Operations Managers Asim Jani organised an amazing team building day for our OLE and S&T divisions in support of ISS Labour’s commitment to encouraging mental and physical health and wellbeing. The day involved an impressive hike up the one and only Scafell Pike, the highest and the most prominent mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level. The aim of the day was to get the teams out of the office, into the fresh air, doing some exercise and to get everyone talking.
Asim admitted he had some reservations about the trip at first as the event involved three different offices from various locations being thrown together for the day and he wondered what they would all talk about, would they all get on, what would happen with different fitness levels etc.
However, he needn’t have worried as everyone involved really worked together as a team helping each other through the tough bits, encouraging one another to keep going and sharing personal stories and conversation that had nothing to do with work along the way.
After a day of blood, sweat and tears, and a lot of laughter the team celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved meal in beautiful Keswick.
Asim commented “what an amazing day some of the teams have never tried anything like this before so for everyone to complete this and go home smiling made my weekend.”
